Welcome to Flagstaff Home Educators
Flagstaff Home Educators (FHE) is a support group for families who have chosen to home educate their children. Children benefit through various activities such as the Spelling Bee, National Geographic Geography Bee, Science Fair, Presentation Days, ice skating, bowling, social events, PE, Talent Show, field trips and much, much more. Parents benefit from fellowship, information and resource exchange, and of course, LOTS of encouragement.
In addition to some of the above mentioned activities there are elective classes such as foreign language and science, family picnics, sports activities and more. We also have an extensive lending library of resources and material available for members to check out.
Our monthly support group meetings take place on the second Friday of the month during the months of September through November and January through May. We meet at Mountain View Baptist Church, 2150 E. Linda Vista Drive in Flagstaff, from 6:30 pm until approximately 9:00 pm. If you need more information about FHE or our meetings, please email us directly by clicking on the "Contact Us" button in our menu and again on our email address (Mountain View Baptist Church is just our meeting place and they won't be able to answer your questions).
Membership is $30 annually from June of each year through the following May (see Policies and Guidelines section). Membership in FHE entitles you and your family to join our Yahoo! group, receive a monthly newsletter, participate in organized field trips and educational events, attend social events and use our resource library.
